Tim built his castle of a career with an extensive background in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. His creative prowess was noticed as he managed Hotel Zaza in Dallas as the first urban lifestyle hotel. Hotel Zaza was recognized with many coveted awards including the Conde Nast 2003 “Hot List,” Forbes “Best new business hotel” and American Airlines Platinum “Best new boutique hotel.” He opened the Four Diamond hotel in December 2002, and his dedication to top-notch quality and service is evidenced in the hotel’s success. McEneny was responsible for the hiring of 160 staff positions and management associates and was instrumental in developing the overall operation of the property, which also was recognized as one of Dallas’ top dining and bar ventures.
Before joining the Hotel ZaZa team in Dallas, McEneny was general manager of the CLIFT in San Francisco and The Stoneleigh in Dallas, both Ian Schrager Hotels properties. In 2001, McEneny oversaw the re-launch and recreation of the CLIFT after a complete $50-million renovation. Included in the opening was the addition of Asia de Cuba and the world famous Redwood Room. At The Stoneleigh, McEneny was responsible for all operations during a time in which the property was being considered for a complete renovation to an Ian Schrager signature hotel.
